Course Objectives:

To learn periodontal terminology. To have knowledge about healthy periodontium and periodontal diseases. To know the equipment used in the periodontology clinic. To have information about postop applications of patients

Course Content:

Periodontal tissues. Providing dental plaque and oral hygiene. Use of toothbrush, interface brush, dental floss. Periodontal diseases and their classification. Periodontal indexes. Periodontal examination. Periodontal hand tools. Periodontal hand tools. Instruments used in detertrage and curettage treatment. Tools and materials used in periodontal treatment methods. Ultrasonic tools. Dental assistant in periodontal treatment, post-op patient information and patient's oral hygiene motivation
