Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is; To enable students to gain knowledge about patient safety, which means preventing healthcare-related errors and eliminating or reducing injuries caused by healthcare-related errors, and providing safe patient care.
Course Content: Definitions; Patient Safety in Turkey and the world; Patient Safety Culture, Beliefs and Attitudes of Healthcare Professionals on Patient Safety; Medical Errors Related to Healthcare; Infection Control; Medication Management; Patient Safety in Surgery; Patient Safety in Pediatric Clinics; Safety of Elderly Patients; Patient Safety in Intensive Care Clinics; Safety of Disabled Patients; Legal Processes in Patient Safety; Error Reporting and Reporting Processes; Patient Safety Standards; Patient Safety Program Development.
