Diploma Supplement

The Diploma Supplement follows the model developed by the European Commision, Council of Europe and UNESCO is a document attached to a higher education diploma providing a standardised description of the nature, level, context, content and status of the studies that were pursued and successfully completed by the individual named on the original qualification to which this diploma supplement is appended.
The purpose of the Supplement, which is an important document of European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) in European Higher Education Area, is to provide sufficient independent data to improve the international transparency and fair academic and professional recognition of qualifications (diplomas, degrees, certificates, etc.).
At Istanbul Atlas University the Diploma Supplement is being issued in English, given automatically and free of charge to every students upon successfully completion of their studies in all short cycle, first cycle, second cycle, one-tier and third cycle degree programs. The Diploma Supplement is only valid together with the actual diploma.
The Diploma Supplement was also incorporated in the Europass Framework established by the European Parliament and the Council of Ministers in 2004.
Diploma Supplement is known as Blue Diploma
