| Course Objectives: | To provide students with general and fundamental knowledge about the rules of the Turkish language, its spelling and expression features; to introduce written sources of Turkish and enable them to acquire the ability to use these sources. |
| Course Content: | In the Turkish Language course, students are informed about the relationship between language and communication and the effects of language on culture. Information is provided on Turkish grammar, expression disorders, spelling, and punctuation. Students gain a general language culture. Historical phases of written Turkish, Turkish alphabets, and the phonetic and morphological features of the Turkish language are introduced. Basic training is given in correct language use, recognizing Turkish and Turkish literature. While imparting basic reading and writing skills, information on text types is provided and sample texts are examined. |
