Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: This course examines the developments in the field of design and technology, together with their social and social impacts, from the 19th century to the present.
Course Content: In this course, the design-individual relationship is explained with its social dimensions. Design and lifestyles from the 19th century to the 20th century are examined with their spatial dimensions. New inventions are discussed together with the effects of developments in technology on human life, their cultural dimensions and artistic effects. Among the topics to be taught during this course; 19th century social structure, technological developments, industrial revolution, modernism, art-deco, post modernism, pop-art, developments in the information-communication age and the social effects of the digital age are examined together with their spatial dimensions.
