| Course Objectives: | This course provides an introduction to the types of philosophy and the study of the great thinkers' contributions to studies which investigate the principles and facts of reality, human nature and basic problems of conduct relevant to man. Emphasis is on early Greek philosophy and early modern philosophy, namely on Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, and Hume. |
| Course Content: | A general introduction to the notions, language, style, and method of Philosophy. The etymological definition of philosophy, philosophy as worldview, as science, as discipline. The characteristics and value of philosophy. |
