Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: To teach the necessary approaches to evaluate the patient and develop a program in different age groups, the purposes of exercise therapy, the classification of exercise and the planning of the exercise program, to gain the ability to prepare an appropriate exercise program by determining the factors affecting normal joint movement, to solve problems in postural disorders determined in line with basic evaluation and measurement methods. and to improve the ability to create an exercise program.
Course Content: Evaluation in order to prepare an exercise program, classification of exercises and preparation of the exercise program, normal joint movements, stretching exercises, strengthening exercises, active-passive-active assistive and resistant exercises, posture, scoliosis exercises, relaxation exercises, spinal stabilization exercises, balance exercises, aerobics. exercises and calisthenic exercises.

1) Explains the approaches, exercise classification, purposes and effects of exercises to evaluate the patient and develop a program. Defines the basic exercise program.
2) Describes factors affecting normal joint movement. Explains the purpose of the applied exercises. Applies appropriate exercise program.
3) Defines the problems that occur in postural disorders and explains their characteristics.
4) Plans and implements problem-based exercise programs for different postural disorders.
5) Defines and explains the problems and their characteristics that occur in scoliosis. Plans and implements an exercise program for scoliosis.
6) Defines and explains methods for assessing balance and coordination. Plans and implements an exercise program for these problems.
7) Selects assistive devices for ambulation in different problems. Explains the use to patients by showing it.
8) Evaluates the cardiopulmonary system and applies basic exercises related to this system.
9) Explains and applies specific therapeutic exercise approaches.

2) After successfully completing the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation program, they can follow the current literature, evidence-based approaches and information as a physiotherapist and apply this information in the clinic.
