Course Objectives: |
This course presents students with a broad introduction to the major themes of social psychology. Generally, the lectures aim to explore the many ways in which we can be influenced by other people and the social environment we live in and also to introduce students to the main theories, research, and scientists of the different areas of social psychology, including cognitive processes (e.g., social cognition, social perception, the self) and social relations between people (e.g., group processes). Aside from theoretical knowledge, the course will provide insight into a variety of areas as well as the ability to analyse and formulate societal examples. |
