Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: Environmental Psychology course aims to examine the interactions of humans with their physical environment and the effects of these interactions on psychological processes. This course aims to provide students with the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to understand the role of environmental factors on behavior, emotions and thoughts.
Course Content: Basic concepts and history of environmental psychology
The effect of physical environment on individual and social behavior
Perception of space and environmental preferences
Natural environment and psychological health
Psychological effects of urbanization, crowding and noise
Sustainability and environmentally friendly behaviors
Environmental stressors and coping methods

3) Knows the working subjects and methods of the subfields of psychology and defines the duties of psychologists working in these fields.
4) To be able to deal with the human being as a biological, psychological, sociological and cultural whole and to be able to establish a relationship with related disciplines in this sense.
