Course Objectives: | The aim of this course for each student; To teach evaluation and therapy methods in swallowing disorders. |
Course Content: | Dysphagia; definition, prevalence, care, team approach, Normal swallowing: anatomy and physiology, Swallowing disorder and nutrition in children and adults, Medical conditions affecting swallowing, Clinical evaluation in adults and infants, Instrumental evaluation in adults, Treatment approaches, Treatment in children, Adults and treatment in geriatrics; Difficult cases, case studies; Tracheotomy, ventilator assisted breathing and swallowing. |
