Course Objectives:

Students who take this course;

1. Define the concept of reproductive health.
2. Explains the importance and purpose of reproductive health.
3. List the basic elements of reproductive health.
4. Explain reproductive rights.
5. List the services within the scope of reproductive health.
6. Gain the necessary knowledge and skills for a holistic approach to reproductive health.

Course Content:

This course; Meeting and sharing the course content, Emergence of the concept of reproductive health, definition of reproductive health, Reproductive health rights, Importance of reproductive health for women, Factors affecting reproductive health (culture, religion, gender, gender) and women's health, Sexual health in the world and in Turkey Health and reproductive health, Adolescent health, Pregnancy physiology and birth process, Fertility regulation and safe motherhood, Violence against women, femicide and child abuse and Reproductive health problems in individuals with different sexual orientations.

2) Knows the process of psychology becoming a science from a historical perspective, its approach to emotional, behavioral and mental processes in this process and the scientific methods used to investigate these processes.
3) Knows the working subjects and methods of the subfields of psychology and defines the duties of psychologists working in these fields.
4) To be able to deal with the human being as a biological, psychological, sociological and cultural whole and to be able to establish a relationship with related disciplines in this sense.
5) Knows the salient emphases of the major theories, approaches and perspectives of psychology (behavioral, biological, cognitive, evolutionary, humanistic, psychodynamic and sociocultural).
6) Knows the basic principles and methods of psychological assessment and gains basic interview skills.
