Course Objectives: Students who successfully complete this course will be able to;
1. Undersand basic concepts of health promotion.
2. Identify health risks for people and population.
3. Plan and implement health education.
4. Discuss the strenghts and limitations of current health care system for health promotion.
5. Discuss the health promotion strategies across the life span in diverse cultures.
Course Content: Basic concepts of health promotion, determinants of health, health care delivery system, chronic diseases and management, disease prevention, health education, caring throughout the life spans, quality of life.
