Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: This course gives the knowledge about delivering evidence-based and patient-centered care with using computer science and information science and enhancing clinical workflows for nurses to care patients more efficiently and effectively.

Course Content: This course focus on using the health informatics and information technology in nursing practices. The course includes knowledge and skill related with Basic informatics terminology-I (such as data, information, knowledge, hardware, software, computer, networks), Nursing Informatics, Role of Nurse Informatics and Competencies, The common language and nursing classification systems in nursing, Omaha System, Nightingale Notes Program, E-health, tele-health, Current topics in health and nursing informatics, The legal, political, and ethical issues in health information systems, and Responsibility of healthcare professionals for protection of personal health data.
