Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: To teach the morphological structures, cellular and biochemical properties, disease-making features of microorganisms and parasites, to teach infectious diseases, immunization and protection, to teach sterilization and disinfection methods.
Course Content: Introduction to microbiology, naming, classification and general characteristics of microorganisms, production of microorganisms, metabolism, genetics and the effect of antimicrobial substances on microorganisms, the effect of external environment on microorganisms, the concepts and application of "sterilization and disinfection", hand washing methods, normal flora, temporary flora and permanent flora. sampling techniques, the role of vaccines and serums in protection against infectious diseases and infectious diseases, the administration of vaccines and serums, hospital infections, hospital infection committees, blood bank applications and transfusion reactions, sampling and transportation, evaluation of samples and their results, microorganisms causing disease in humans, epidemics, pandemics and their fight, patient and employee safety in nursing services.
