Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives:

To contribute to the ability of physiotherapists to identify problems at the level of activity and participation, and to identify appropriate physiotherapy and rehabilitation approaches in the light of evidence-based scientific data in cases (orthopedic, cardiopulmonary problems or sports injuries) that physiotherapists frequently encounter during their clinical work, and to contribute to the personal and environmental factors that affect students' treatment approaches in class. To develop patient-centered clinical problem solving skills by enabling the discussion in the environment.

Course Content:

The preparation of the students and counselors related to the case, the evaluation of the case in the clinic with group work, the creation of the problem list based on the biopsychosocial model, and the discussion of the treatment approaches created with evidence-based data in the classroom environment.

1) Gains the ability to research library and web-based resources and use the obtained information in relation to the case,
2) Participates in case studies within the group, makes definitions about the case after the physiotherapy evaluation, and determines the problems at the level of disorder, activity and participation.

4) Applies the biopsychosocial model in clinical decision making
5) Uses group work skills in clinical approaches and case-by-case clinical decision making.
6) Shares case-related evaluation results, short and long-term treatment goals, and treatment plan through effective communication, and discusses other views based on scientific grounds.

1) With the knowledge, knowledge and experience gained in the field of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, he/she can evaluate his patients and draw up a personalized treatment program within the framework of professional and ethical principles.
2) After successfully completing the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation program, they can follow the current literature, evidence-based approaches and information as a physiotherapist and apply this information in the clinic.
3) With their knowledge and experience, they take part as an important part of the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary team in the clinic and can organize the team adequately.
