Course Objectives: | In this course, students explore the solutions that nature has taught us for thousands of years and apply them to their own architectural designs. will learn to produce ecological, structural and sustainable ideas inspired by nature. They will be able to apply the biomimicry solutions they have researched in the project design process, energy, structure, and sustainability, and will learn to conduct research by accessing the biomimicry resources that will be shown in this course. |
Course Content: | If sustainability is the ultimate goal in the design process, all ideas must come from nature. All design students need to study nature so that they can see all the answers given to us by nature. These answers are; It can be used to design energy efficient buildings, use sustainable materials, responsive urban planning or, for example, the Fibonnaci theorem that nature offers us to find ideal measurements. |
