Course Objectives: |
Course Description:
This course provides an introduction to the biological basis of behavior. Students will learn about the structure and function of the nervous system, including the brain and its components, as well as the endocrine system. The course will explore how the brain and hormones influence behavior, learning, memory, emotion, and motivation. Students will also gain an understanding of the effects of drugs and other interventions on the nervous system and behavior.

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
Understand the basic structure and function of the nervous system
Describe the components and functions of the brain
Identify the major neurotransmitters and hormones and their role in behavior
Analyze the effects of drugs on the nervous system and behavior
Understand the relationship between the nervous system and behavior, learning, memory, emotion, and motivation |
