Course Objectives: | The main purpose of this course is to organize “Child and Youth Development Public Seminars” for the public as a social responsibility project on behalf of our university with students. Another purpose is to collect seminar topics in a booklet. Our expectations from this social responsibility project are, on the one hand, to raise awareness of the public about the various developmental characteristics of children and young people, on the other hand, to enable our students to learn how to use their theoretical knowledge in daily life (in practice) and to gain professional experience by improving their oral presentation skills for large audiences. |
Course Content: | Students choose a topic to present in the seminars in line with the suggestions of the course instructor, They read current literature on their chosen topic, They submit a written proposal on their chosen topic Proposals related to the chosen topic are discussed and revised in practice. These articles are presented in the classroom environment using presentation techniques. Students write their chosen topic as part of a booklet. |
