Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is; To have knowledge about eye diseases that may be encountered in optician practice and to make the cooperation between ophthalmologist and optician easier in terms of terminology. |
Course Content: | History taking and basic examination methods in eye diseases; Diseases of the eye's auxiliary organs such as eyelids, eyelashes, lacrimal glands; Diseases of parts of the sclera layer such as lens, cornea, conjunctiva; Uveitis; Retinal layer diseases; Glaucoma; Orbital injuries and diseases of the orbit; Eye diseases due to opric nerve damage; Strabismus; Eye diseases in pediatric cases; Emergency situations requiring eye intervention; Common causes of blindness and the effects of ultraviolet rays on eye health. |
